- WORKSHOPS -

Leather & Silver workshop taught by Kailey Klein and Nevada Miller

Kailey is a master leatherworker who is known for her use of hand drawn scrollwork that intertwines with figures and elements of the west. Nevada is known for eclectic takes on western silver items. We are both so excited to offer this combo style workshop at the 2023 Cowgirl Art Rodear!

In this 4 hour workshop we will guide you through the fabrication and beautification of a leather cuff bracelet with a silver element added for style. You will learn basic leather tooling and stamping techniques, of which you can choose how to adorn your cuff. In addition you will learn basic silversmithing skills to complete a chicago screw element to add to your cuff.

Our hope is you will walk away with an increased interest in both trades and a piece you are proud to wear at the rodear! All tools and materials will be provided and you don’t need prior knowledge in these trades to join. Just bring a great energy and willingness to learn! We hope you join us and in the meantime check out our online courses in these trades through Be A Maker School.
